My ideal would be to poach a couple of guys with big sophomore leap potential (Cam Christie? Devin Royal? Scotty Middleton?) and then pair them with 1 big name stud and one 5th year Domask type.

Ty is your leader in terms of understanding culture at Illinois, and bring in some older guys that can learn that quickly.
Otherwise yeah...lots and lots of question marks.

I’m sure someone will leave, probably multiple guys, but it feels like we are bringing back a whole slew of guys that may be good but also have not shown nearly enough to know if they can be counted on for starting roles:
You have one guy that has proven to be a valuable Big Ten starter but we obviously know the limitations that he has which have to be accounted for in lineup construction.
Then you’ve got a star freshman big that has to play right away (Morez), but sometimes freshmen bigs look like Kofi right away and other times they look like Xavier Booker.
Some of it will no doubt sort itself out with guys transferring, but it’s going to be a very interesting off-season. How much do we want to keep trying to develop and program-build even if it means we might not be any good next year.

But Sencire Harris went on a little bit of a heater in the background of this Ty interview. Against air and still with an odd form, but I’m choosing to believe he’s improved.
