it's kind of unique. I occasionally use the shuffleboard analogy for how the scoring works, but the game is so much more complicated. It's sometimes called "chess on ice", which is merely a way to convey the complexity of the strategy.

Curling is bigger than the other games it’s similar to. A giant form of shuffleboard on ice.
If golf didn’t exist, and frolf was just a larger version of putt putt played with a frisbee over longer distances, maybe it would be cooler.

That’s definitely an oddball fringe sort of thing, but I don’t have the same negative reaction. Maybe it’s because I think of frisbee golf as a kids game, but I’m not sure if that’s the source of it.
But if you’re a semi-pro level foosball player I am definitely judging you. But not darts. D&D, yes. Ultimate frisbee, no.

I have a knee-jerk negative emotional judgment on people who get really into weird fringe games or stuff like this. Really, you’re out there buying specialty frisbee golf equipment to take your performance to the next level? Ok, then.

Bugs Bunny whacked me with a big hammer.
Feels like cheating to use a heavy solid disc like that for frisbee golf.
