It was a research collaboration between the three major universities and central to them all…..the research institutions sparked the build up of offices. All the workers traveled to it from the surrounding areas. It worked until recently when the support staff in the offices started to be out sourced. So the Triangle is reimagining its self by building more residential and commercial areas to draw in people to live and work in the area
