I went out to Dresden one day in Dec 2022 to see it for myself Archived Message

The site where Vonnegut was holed up during the firebombing is non-descript with merely a plaque noting the significance. Disappointing. The city recovered nicely and the Christmas market scene was a gem. S5 was the only novel I ever read twice; one for a grade and one for myself.
