Wolf Creek is known for great greens (I concur). I like it well enough but it’s not fancy, Archived Message

just a solid country course. The Oaks at Rivers Edge used to be the Pontiac Elks CC. It was semi-private and was starting to go downhill. The layout is a lot of fun and we played it every year until conditioning suffered. I understand the new owners are bringing it up to snuff, and I would gladly start playing it again. Between Wolf Creek and The Oaks, the latter is the better layout. Never played Indian Creek. Previous Message Railside (Gibson City) or Shagbark? Thoughts? I'm not expecting a world-class experience. I'm going to have to go to a meeting in that general area and would like to take the afternoon to hit a few holes.

- Shagbark is a good learning course. Very short, no rough, no sand with postage stamp sized greens. - HoseB March 4, 2025, 15:05:47
- That reminds me... how is that course in Tuscola doing? - uofi1998 March 4, 2025, 9:56:00
