Was watching the first episode of the new HBO series on the Celtics, which is mostly about the Russell dynasty, and at one point they had this photo of Russell in a locker room hot tub reading a newspaper. Under his thumb I noticed "Illi..." which caught my eye and made me wonder if it was about Illinois. Sure enough it's a San Francisco newspaper from December 31, 1963, the day before the 1964 Rose Bowl, covering the game between Illinois and Washington. [hansel]cool story[/hansel]
