I'll never forget this azzhole running off the court in the United Center, gesturing to the Illini fans to "bring it on" at halftime. Fukhead.
Got a feeling that the B1G gets a few hotels to cooperate, and they rotate teams through those hotels when they're in Indy. But I doubt they'll get much cooperation from this hotel in the future.
Northwestern's Chris Collins rips Big Ten over 'thousand degrees' hotel rooms after tournament-opening win.
This Big Ten basketball coach is not pleased with the accommodations in Indianapolis.
The Big Ten basketball tournament is back in Indianapolis for the 13th time, reinforcing its status as the most frequent host site for the postseason event. But Northwestern coach Chris Collins is not happy with the accommodations, calling out the league after his players endured an uncomfortable stay before their 72-64 win over Minnesota on Wednesday.
"Just really, really proud of our guys," Collins said to open his postgame press conference. "Obviously everyone knows the kind of year we've been through. Sorry with my breath. We had to walk a mile to get up here. I'm getting old, getting out of shape. Our guys are just a tough group of guys. They've had a lot thrown at them. Even last night, they put us in a hotel, the rooms were a thousand degrees. There was no AC in the hotel, and our guys' rooms were 85 degrees, and that's where the league puts you. Every way they turn, they're trying to get us, and our guys just are a resilient bunch."
Northwestern earned its first win in the Big Ten Tournament since 2022, advancing to the second round to face Wisconsin on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse near downtown Indianapolis.
