This is my cheater method for baby backs...for spareribs just add a little more time Line a baking an with aluminum foil Remove membrane with butter knife Season/rub both sides with some type of rib rub (or alt/pepper/garlic powder) mixed with brown sugar Bake in 250 degree oven 4 hours or overnight at a lower temp (200-225). You can cover and refrigerate until 30 min before dinner. Heat oven to 400...brush the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce. Bake for 10-15 minutes to let sauce carmelize. Brush again with sauce to finish. Easy and delicious. Optional...initial bake in oven you can spritz with apple juice every hour or so if you'd like Note: I do the finish on the grill but a hot oven works fine.
