Many accounts of Russian soldiers corroborate how little training they get and how short their time is before being put into an assault and are killed or seriously wounded. The Russians recruit about 30k volunteers for Ukraine per month and suffer about that many casualties. Because they do not try and generate combat power, and instead waste it with small marginal assaults across the front every day, it makes sense the soldiers they recruit don’t last very long. The Russians lose about 1000 soldiers a day. They can absorb that without the Army collapsing.* What could give them real problems is logistical (fuel) collapse and economic (pay) collapse. If those things happen there’s a window for the UKR army to retake terrain. * for example, France suffered an average of about 3500 casualties a day during WWI with a significantly smaller population than Russia has today. 1000 casualties a day really isn’t that many, historically speaking.
