to try to take a double major or a minor in a humanity or social science and/or do study abroad. So that may eat into the time. Luckily, even though out of state tuition applies, UF's one of the cheapest flagship state schools out there. Previous Message My oldest daughter went in with a bunch of credits from high school. Not certain if enough to be a full sophomore, or just 2 or 3 credits shy. She ended up taking a class from the local community college each summer she was home to lighten her load and she finished in 3 years. Saved some money that way. I'm hoping my second kid (HS senior) will be in a similar situation. Also, yeah it's crazy when they are getting ready to move out. But then you could be like us and they decide to move back in to save money when in grad school. That sort of a trip. Previous Message starting to hit us that we'll be empty nesters in like a month! Also, he'll be on his own. Can't believe it. Bonus LAMK: he's entering as a credit-hour sophomore. 33 credit hours. Wouldn't have to take any general education classes at all if he didn't want to.
