One of my friends in banking is required to take a Sabbatical every 10 years or something like that. That seems pretty unheard of stateside...wasn't sure if anyone had one offered.

I've kinda been on sabbatical since October.

If at the very least we could revisit anniversary gifts to make them something more meaningful to the recipient. She said she agreed and that it was perfect timing. We’re about to get a new ceo and they wanted to review - revamp our retention policies.

for my 10 year (i think) I got a Weber Q propane grill. I used it once but haven't really had a need for it since.

for my 15 year I got a pair of portable JBL bluetooth speakers. They were good and I used them a bit, but I ended up giving them to my dad and got some sonos ones instead.

next year is 20 years so we'll see what my choices are

...we had an office manager like 5 years ago that was big into "luxury" things and set up a anniversary tier of things like crystal waterford champagne coups or a baccarat decanter, monogramed luggage, etc.

I fucking hate those. I've sold all of my anniversary gifts on craigslist.
