For starters, former Mayor Rahm Emanuel withdrew the city's bid for the tournament when the United States was selected as a host country in 2018, saying that FIFA wanted a “blank check” for costs associated with the event.

Copa America is the Gold Cup but for South America.

It’s far more prestigious and they definitely always play their A teams.

The Gold Cup is played every two years which makes it less special and is pretty much just a US or Mexico champion.

Many of the stadiums are domes anyway so shouldn’t matter to most.

In have heard complaints about some of the temporary pitches. And for a team like PSG, too many matches in the schedule. They will have like one week of training for the super cup if they get to the final here.
