The best shot for it to not be Zohran is probably if Cuomo and Sliwa drop out and Adams takes him head on but even then Zohran is still favored

there isn't a single public transit system in the country that operates in the black. I'm all for subsidies, I just think the money has to come from somewhere. There are two reasons who I don't like public transportation (I'm mainly talking about where I live) 1) it's slow as fuck and 2) it's full of drugged out smelly homeless people. 1) IMO, we are a car dependent society, and you can't put that genie in the bottle. I don't disagree with you that we need to be less car dependent and move towards public transit, but the problem is that we're decades behind where we need to be in this regard. I've been using public transit a lot more lately, primarily because traffic has just gotten absolutely terrible. I hate it, and it's bad, but I do it because there's frequently no other option. I also like that I can not worry about drinking and driving.

2) I'm pro public funding of professional sports, because I think it's good for public morale and a service to the community. We lost a basketball team because the city refused to "play ball". No one thinks that was a good thing, and that team won a championship two days ago.

3) Fuck everything about the absurdity of the US military.

He has flaws and the California thing will likely hurt, but I'm starting to think Newsom is the Dems best shot in 28.

He's a strong voice, defends himself well and doesn't apologize for it. Also a straight white man (who just happens to look like a movie villain, but I digress).

I've harped on this before but Trump's campaign is built around 3-4 primary objectives that take no more than 4 or 5 words a piece (Build the Wall, etc.). he can ramble about Diet Coke and Vanity Fair magazine at his rallies, yet everyone knows what his deal is because his platform is easy to understand. Dems need to do that yesterday. Something like FDR's second bill of rights. Short and simple, and then get into the weeds when you need to.
