I don't know if Somalis are more likely to be involved or not, but my guess is not, considering that bilking the government is generally popular across the color spectrum.

The spike in coverage of this lately reeks of astroturfing, and the ramped up federal involvement is quite obviously retaliation. I'm just surprised it took the administration this long to find a pretext.
