buying in them. I have considered Whistler, where we are allowed to buy, but the warming winters there worry me as the lower half of mountain gets rained on often now. But the mountain biking is elite

...where her boss (and a number of her co-workers) are located. But she refuses to live that far from her family in C-U, so she turned it down. Canada is a possibility, but even though we both work remotely, I can't find a way for us to be eligible to move there. The only viable options are England/work (too far away for her), Germany/grandparent-citizenship (too far away for her), and Portugal/digital-nomad (too far away for her). So I'm stuck here. Canada is the only place close enough she'd consider, but... they're smart enough to make it difficult.

Not being around each other makes them unhappy. Not being around mine makes me happy. The Mrs & I are quite compatible on most things. The family thing, not so much. But I like most of her family more than mine, so I deal with it.

We stayed in a hotel located in the newish area by the river adjacent to downtown. It was a really nice hotel - would recommend and only about a 2-3 minute walk to where the downtown area starts.

I’m just here to go skiing and was wondering if I still can live rent free in someone’s head.

Canmore is awesome. Would recommend. I don’t know if you know how immigration scoring works in Canada, but if you truly are interested you can read up on it and have a good sense for what it takes.

Stuff like this, which asserts that the US gets the better of migration between the two. This summer my son will marry a Canadian from Toronto who came to the USA for graduate school. I wonder whether they might move to be around her family some day....
