To your point on Lia Thomas, it has occured to me that being trans is sort of a point of privilege, so I agree that she probably should have recognized the damage she was doing. Though in my opinion it never would be, see the "yes I'll follow the law already set" Harris interview answer from years back that turned into the number one election issue.
