I can remember in 1984 some children's current affairs programme( was it Newsround ?) had a panel discussion about the problems in Socialist Ethiopia in George Galloway as general secretary of the supposedly 'left wing ' charity "War On Want " participated in along with the Ethiopian ambassador plus two other people who I cannot remember. One kid asked a question about whether aid had been withheld from Ethiopia because it was a 'Marxist regime '. Galloway quickly responded saying that he did not consider Ethiopia to be 'Marxist ,communist or socialist in any form' . Typical fake Left/liberal anti-communism .
Of course this was 36 years ago so Galloway's views might have changed since then.
Galloway is also very anti Scottish independence which is not good
