The problem is that most of the purge stories come from only one source -- the Brarites themselves. The report of the "Southall Pensioners" (see above) seems to come from a CPGB-ML note sent round in October reporting the ousting of their chief henchman together with one of Brar's inner circle from their Birmingham branch. On the communist street in London it's said that at least six Brarites have resigned or have been expelled from the Midlands area.
