Following on from a reply I got on another thread, I just wondered what is meant by the phrase progressive regime?
There doesn't seem to be much that I would describe as progressive. In current regimes such as Cuba, China, Russia, North Korea, Venezuela or Syria.
Or in past, failed states, such as USSR, or East Germany.
I would leave out Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge as I doubt even the most ardent tankie would have anything positive to say about that regime. You couldn't even have said they were anti-West, given where they got their funding from.
