Thanks for answering this one Francis and I do hope too, that we have an interesting discussion about this topic.
But if you look at the states I mentioned it is or was hard to see anything progressive about them.
The best of a rotten bunch seemed to be East Germany and they had to build a wall to keep them people in that state. Maybe I've got that wrong. Maybe there were better regimes than East Germany. But I'd love to know which ones and what made them so attractive to communists in the UK.
