I agree. The armed forces swear allegiance to the monarch not to the government or prime minister of the day.

It was really obvious from the funeral of Elizabeth just how ferociously loyal are the armed forces to the monarch.

Corbyn could never have become PM. A PM needs to command a majority in the House of Commons. A majority of the PLP would never have supported Corbyn.
