Was this one given to Princess Diana by the Worshipful Company of fan makers? Or was it one already owned by a member of the royal family? It looks as if it might have some gold work.

I seem to remember that Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was given at least one ostrich fan as a wedding gift. She was also regularly reported as carrying one at Court functions in the late 1920s. Often it was said to match the colour of her gown.
