While browsing through Greek photographic archives, I discovered a little gem: a very patriotic copy of the photo showing Princess Andrew of Greece, née Alice of Battenberg and mother of the Duke of Edinburgh, wearing her wedding necklace as a tiara:
The only other (known) sighting of this jewel was at her wedding, when she wore it as a necklace:
Ella Kay of The Court Jeweller suggests that it was a wedding gift, which does seem likely.
Does anyone know more about it?
Perhaps it was actually the tiara broken up to make The Queen's Wedding bracelet?

As a matter of fact another similar postcard shows Alice (with two of her daughters) wearing an intriguing head-jewel, which I don't think we have discussed before:
