What a very interesting find Knightship! That opens up a whole new field of investigation. I strongly suspect that the Norwegian press would have had its information from the Royal Court, and will be accurate.

The Maharaja and Ranee of Cooch Behar gave Queen Mary a substantial wedding gift and are likely to have given a similarly impressive gift to Queen Maud. I will try to see what I can find in the UK press.

According to the UK press, King Haakon gave Queen Maud 2 separate brooches for their wedding.
