The 1903 Manchester tiara by Cartier was accepted by the UK government in lieu of inheritance tax, and allocated to the V & A in 2007.

Part of the tiara dismantles so that a brooch can be worn.

I am a trifle puzzled as to how the brooch would be assembled. Obviously my imagination is letting me down! Can anyone suggest how the elements would work on the brooch fitting?
