Manchester tiara" The 1903 Manchester tiara by Cartier was accepted by the UK government in lieu of inheritance tax, and allocated to the V & A in 2007. Part of the tiara dismantles so that a brooch can be worn. See V & A at http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O1137267/brooch-frame-cartier/ I am a trifle puzzled as to how the brooch would be assembled. Obviously my imagination is letting me down! Can anyone suggest how the elements would work on the brooch fitting?

Manchester tiara" It sounds as if one of the circular/heart elements with its triple cluster swag can be removed completely and screwed to the brooch frame. Probably without the scroll crest. The description says gold and silver so I don’t think that the two elements pictured at the top are part of this entry or it would mention diamonds/paste.

Manchester tiara" I do think 992233177 i right about the brooch fitting and the element of the diadem. This diadem i soooo huge, its defficult to take a picture of it in the MONTRE.
