Both Alice, Lady Wimborne and her mother-in-law, Cornelia, Lady Wimborne were photographed wearing some striking pearls.

I initially wondered if Cornelia had passed on her pearls to her daughter-in-law, who had them restrung.
Then I read this report of Cornelia, Lady Wimborne's will (1927) and discovered that she had bequeathed them to her son. So obviously both ladies owned significant pearls.
