The Queen was in fact wearing the Order of the Legion of Honour. It might be a bit difficult to see in the below photo, but hopefully one can just make out the badge worn in the Sash on her right hip here:

Dear all,
The royal Watcher has written a very interesting article about the gala performance at Covent Garden in 1939.
The jewels worn by the British royal family were incredibles ! https://royalwatcherblog.com/2019/03/23/gala-performance-at-covent-garden-1939/
Queen Mary wore 8 collet necklaces including the teck collet necklace !
Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother also wore incredible jewels including the ruby parure with 2 ruby brooches !
I also think that she wore other jewels such as the cockade brooch on the rear of her gown.
What do you think ?
I also think that she wore "l'ordre de la Jarretière". No photo at this moment.
She might have worn other jewels that I have not seen.
Vert best regards,
Franck
