I have been trying to track down the brooch worn on Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother's sash for a number of years. In 2016 and 2017 I posted on RJWMB that, based on other photographic evidence, I thought that perhaps the brooch was part of Mrs Greville's jewels, as QEQM was first photographed wearing what I think is the same jewel in 1944.
It is difficult to spot what QEQM used to secure her sash at the waist; however, I think she used the lacy bow brooch which Mrs Arthur James gave her as a wedding gift.
I suspect that the Greville tiara, Queen Alexandra's pearl necklace and the Greville diamond drop earrings don't need any identification!
