But could it have been the Greville emerald tiara? The way they made it sound was as if it was an all emerald tiara which in it must be a never before seen one. I wonder what the aquamarine tiara in the selection looked like? Was it the one loaned to the Princess Royal by the late QEQM or is it the one from Prince Phillip's mother or maybe the one the Queen loaned to the Countess of Wessex, the one the Queen wore a few times I think in the 70/80's. So they were five tiaras, an all emerald one, an aquamarine one, the diamond bandeau Meghan eventually wore and I wonder what the other 2 tiaras were.

Dave.

I've just read the articles and they don't seem to add any clarity to the issue. It seems odd to offer a selection of 5 tiaras to choose from and then decide the one that's selected is not suitable! This book doesn't say which one was initially selected, so doesn't really clarify even if it was the emerald one as previously reported, or the reason it was subsequently rejected.
