Re: Royal Family Order of George VI, 1937 - Queen Elizabeth
Two large badges were made by Garrard in 1937, for the King's wife and mother.
Her Majesty's 50th Birthday portrait, wearing the Family Orders of George VI and George V.

While the badge of the George V Family Order were surrounded by round "brilliant cut" diamonds, George VI's badges were surrounded by 16 "brilliant cut" diamonds in pairs, seperated by 8 rectangular "baguette cut" diamonds.
