I would like to draw attention to the fact that our fellow poster, Franck, was the first to identify what happened to Queen Mary's amethyst parure after her death.

I recollect that Franck initially posted it on the RJWMB, but I cannot find the thread now.

Since that board let its subscription lapse several times, it is now an uphill battle to find things.

I am doing this post as a matter of ethics to remind everyone of the earlier posts, but I do not have the time to trawl through thousands of RJWMB posts.

Luckily, Franck posted about his find once on this board.
