"many years" may not have been the best choice of words. Perhaps I should have written that tiaras haven't been worn at State Banquets in France in Recent years. We well remember QEII's last visit to Paris in June 2014. Since that event, I can't recall seeing a queen wearing a tiara at the Élysée Palace.
Look at attire worn in France for the Swedish state banquet in December 2014 as well as those for the Spanish, Dutch, and Luxembourg visits in 2015, 2016, and 2018
