We used our U.S. credit union debit card yesterday at Banamex in Melaque without any problem. There was a period of a few days last summer when the same card would not work at Banamex but would at Intercam.

I honestly don't think your problem is related to the (temporarily suspended) U.S. tariff, but the capriciousness of our local god of the ATMS...
