D1 Power 5"
As a father of a recent D1 commit, there are a few things to consider. Most of us have children that wanted to play P5 and do it somewhere warm. As they grow up, some/most realize leaving family and friends behind to play "South" isn't what they want. Also, IMO, it will take playing on a upper level club team to A) get seen/noticed and B) have people in that program with contacts/connections to get her seen/noticed. That is as important as how good your daughter is. Finally, most D1 much less P5 kids will get a "full ride", especially down South. When paying out of state tuition, it can be very expensive, and that is on top of the $15,000-$20,000 per year you'll pay for club fees, hotels, gas, food on the road, missed time at work, etc. from now until she ages out of travel ball. That cost is relative if playing for any club/organization that is going to tournaments and showcases where these coaches will be in order to get seen (typically PGF events, showcases, Colorado, CA Nationals, etc).
