Travel softball or travel sports, in general is expensive. I do my best to help keep the costs reasonable with my contribution to the program. Unfortunately, travel costs $$$ and playing the best requires travel.
Like most programs, the Bandits have some families that are very affluent while others are just getting by. Unfortunately, NCAA rules don't allow individual players, even those in need, to be treated differently than other members of the same team. My donation goes to the paid coaches, their hotel rooms, rental cars, airfares and their salary. The families, rich and poor, pay for all the softball costs.
I did create a non for profit, called Empowering Girls for Life that did provide $30,000 in scholarships last year to Bandits as well as players outside of our organization.
Not sure why you singled out the Bandits, many other programs have players sign D1 scholarships but if your point is to say it is expensive to play high level travel softball, I agree. If it's too bash the Bandits, then you're a tool.
