23 years ago softball had 9/1 cutoff but it was 1 year later which forced almost all Juniors and all Seniors to play 18U. Not sure why USA move it forward 4 months instead of back 8 months like it was previously.
I agree that PGF, Alliance, Triple Crown, and USSSA were forced to make this change or create total travel ball chaos.
