The all-state teams are FAR too large. Last year, first team had 28 kids and second and third teams were similar.

Instead, give me nine players per team (27 players across first, second and third teams).

To be, for example, a first team all-state catcher and be one of 7 catchers on the first team is “everyone gets a winners trophy” culture - and does a disservice to the players.
