So… dumb question.

With the crazy 4A HS calendar this year, and sectionals lasting until June 7, are there any athletes contemplating leaving their HS team to play in club tournaments June 6-8?

If they left their HS team, what would be the repercussion? For the HS? For the athlete? Is there an IHSA rule that enforces it or is it up to the school?

A little background. Totally understand being there for your school and finishing the commitment you started. However, for recruiting does it make sense to be visible to college coaches at the club level? There are only so many weekends over the summer prior to September 1…
