Since UIC moved conferences it has been difficult to compete. There were cultural issues that turned things from difficult to nearly impossible. I’ve never coached against Megan but the feedback I received was positive as a former player and coach. Whatever nuances she might be lacking her assistant coach will more than fill the void. There certainly are challenges to recruiting at UIC but the area is abundantly better than it was 20 years ago with one of nicest backdrops of any college campus. As I mentioned before, her biggest obstacle is the culture including players and parents. The X’s and O’s she will do fine with.
