Freshman year is rough. Figuring out the time management is a challenge. DD thought she’d have it easy since she played 3 sports in high school and it was still difficult. If you’re not in the gym more than your team activities as a freshman you are likely not going to play unless you’re just naturally exceptional. The upper classmen are likely bigger faster and stronger than you. I’d say dd put in 60 hrs a week between softball and school. She didn’t party much but she had friends and did have a life. She did well academically but not perfect in the spring….adjusting to the travel was hard.
