There is absolutely no worse sports parent than the travel parent whose child doesn't succeed in high school ball. They couldn't wait to have their moment, reap the rewards of their investment, be the center of attention, and "bam" the kids just average. The excuses start flying, "we don't care about high school", it's actually kind of fun to watch. You can't hide from mediocrity when you don't control the environment.
