The worst part is everyone sidestepped the tampering allegations. It was never mentioned by the announces despite being well reported on last June. The Matador Club and Nate Nelson have denied the allegations but I think it is pretty clear several of those transfers signed in April of 2025. The tampering was the real issue every program in the country had an issue with not necessarily the transfering. Throw in some of the parents acting like idiots and they are hard to like. I think other programs were caught off guard last year and this year all programs have been reaching out through back door channels. We will see how many players announce commitments, or enter with no contact tags on Monday. The post House settlement rules don't appear to be working in football and basketball so I expect the craziness to continue in softball. Texas Tech is relevant and will continue to push the market.
