Situated at the edge of Kingswood Forest, The Stone Dragon tavern is on the border of the King's control. Consequently, it is a hotspot for outlaws and law-abiding citizens alike. A number of secret rooms, doors and passages enable outlaws to hide or make a quick getaway whenever the King's men come swooping in. As there is also an inn here, this is also a popular place for temporary travellers and explorers.

Cypress glanced around the room as she settled into the booth, her heart fluttering and full. It was her birthday, and her family was there, and Thoth was there, and how could she be anything but completely content? Thoth's fingers wove into hers, and in that moment she thought she could die happy. That was, until...
Cy coughed a little on her poorly-timed sip at almost the same moment as Jacopo did. Her expression flickered, torn between dismay, embarrassment, and love - love for her boyfriend, who saw no reason to lie to her (even when some might have), and her step-dad, who was, in her current way of thinking, more of a parent than either Theoden or Birch had ever been. It was hard to picture either of them giving Thoth the sex talk, Birch knew little about profalactics and was more than a little outdated even by Shaman standards, and Theoden... well, he was more of a "bake you some bread and glare at you real hard" protective father.
"Dad!" Cy groaned, though it lacked any real heat. Was she really that surprised that Jacopo had thought of it, or that he'd brought it up? No, of course not. He might not have come into their lives until Olive was eighteen, but with his stern scowl and endless wisdom Cypress was pretty sure he'd been born to be a father. It would almost be weird if he hadn't cornered Thoth at some point.
Thoth's comment, though, made her frown just a little, eyes downturned with just a touch of concern. Her lower lip poked out a little bit as she cocked her head to the side. Despite her careful expression, her words came out in an awkward rush.
"You mean... you don't think about... it... with me... like... ever?" she blurted out, her focus so completely back on Thoth that their present company was forgotten. "Because I mean, I, with you-"
"DAT UNICORN IS ON FIRE!" Effie slurred, loud and abrupt as she sat up and pointed at Thoth. Cypress startled, turning a bright pink that went all the way to her ears. Did she actually say that? Outloud? In front of her dad and Effie?! Effie blinked blearily at Thoth, then Cypress, trying to get her eyes to focus. She listed slightly as she pushed her party hat back up; the movement had the slow, measured carefulness of a drunk, but it still slipped slowly back down despite all her effort. Giving it up as a lost cause, she let it fall and leaned trustingly against her grandfather with a heavy sigh.
"Justa dream, grandpa," she said reassuringly, patting his elbow as her soft curls brushed his upper arm. She sat up again, her eyes wide and excited as she went from half-asleep to wide awake the way only children could manage.
"Auntie Cy, is it time for cake yet?" she asked brightly.
