Dwyn was happy here, happier than she ever thought she could have been. Amaya was a colorful safe haven, compared to her icy homelands of Tarben. Although she was more sensitive to the sun than the average wolf, she could not help but bask in it after the meeting. With her elemental powers, she brought a small breeze to the nearby trees, which in turn, kept her cool. Her mind wandered, wondering where her soulmate was. Of course, she could just look at the pink strand emanating from her chest, but she liked resting and protecting her very sensitive purple eyes from the sun. Dwyn felt so safe in Amaya that she began to doze off, but she snapped awake when Uzi’s scent wafted into her nares. She couldn’t blame him for wanting to be more proactive with the pack, given he just got promoted to delta at the pack meeting, but Dwyn wanted to feel lusted for. Desired. This was hardest part of transitioning from Tarben to Amaya – she needed to express the same interest for anything to happen. And given she never expressed interest in anyone at Tarben, she knew jack when it came to flirting herself and giving consent. What made it harder was the strand that connected the two of them. Dwyn hadn’t really addressed that yet – she was scared. She also hadn’t told Uzi about her family drama in Tarben. The snowy butterfly lass wasn’t ready to do that yet. Dwyn slowly opened her eyes and lifted her head to look for Uzi, her tail beginning to wag softly. ”Hi Uzi!” She spoke, the excitement perhaps showing itself in her tone a little too much. Her heart always raced more around him, a feeling she was unfamiliar with. She stretched, letting her wings flutter a bit before moving to sit next to him. ”I’ve been thinking.” As much as she wanted to lean on his shoulder, be all lovey dovey, she refrained. It seemed silly of her to want to be so expressive with a male – she hadn’t been before. The only difference was this soulmate tie, which Dwyn could not wrap her head around. ”You got the rank promotion because of me, but do you actually want me?” Those words sounded stupid coming out of her maw – what was she saying? The prior royal grandchild of Tarben’s ruling was never like this. ”W-what I mean by that i-is…” Dwyn, flustered, tried to dismiss the prior words by correcting them. ”You have not made many advances lately, and I’m a bit annoyed.” She took a sharp inhale before rambling more. ”I know I’ve avoided bringing up our soulmate tie and my trauma with Tarben and my feelings and, well, I’d like to address one of those things at least.” She looked to Uzi, the heat rising to her face making it look like her fur was pink as she quickly spoke once again. ”Iwantyoutoclaimme.” Flustered, Dwyn tried to hide her face. What happened to the tomboyish personality she expressed over the last few moons? Surely this change in personality would throw off the tiger satori, as much as it had her. Actions and thoughts and "Words."
