The King couldn't get Esmae off of his mind. He'd seen her at meetings, even had her next to him in the war. He couldn't help but feel a strange sense in himself to be near her at all times. Something couldn't keep him away from her. He hadn't felt this way since.. well.. Helius and Paeeon's mother. Since they'd first been together. Kratos had vowed to himself he wouldn't find someone as good as she - yet maybe he had, here in Starfall. Maybe this could be a new start for himself, offering a step mother to his children. That would only be if Esmae would want to speak with him. Kratos knew he could come across as intimidating - someone to not cross. He didn't want to pressure Esmae into anything. The King exited his den, feeling a rush of nerve hit him. Kratos didn't even know what he was going to say. Would he be too forward? Maybe.. maybe he could offer to go on a walk with her? God, he was rusty. He didn't know how to talk about his feelings, how to articulate them the way his boys did so effortlessly. He shook off the butterfly feeling, raising his crown and straightening his shoulders. He was King. The Golden King padded out a ways towards the den he knew Esmae had been calling her home. He stood outside of it, looking away and swallowing hard. "Esmae?" He gently called, hoping she would be in her den. Hoping he wasn't calling into an empty space looking like a complete fool. "It's Kratos. I.. I was curious if you'd like to go for a walk with me? Get out, enjoy the nice warm weather and sun?" The golden man offered softly, wincing at how weird it sounded rolling off his tongue. He really needed to get over his nerves. Maybe she would see this as endearing rather than weird. Patiently, he awaited her answer if she happened to be in the den. If she wasn't.. he didn't know what he was going to do.
