The Hallowess was nervous, she had accepted someone already into the pack - An ex Tarben member. She felt itchy all over, scared for Kratos' reaction. Surely he would have mercy for the girl, but he didn't know of her presence as far as she knew - And Esmae was still not yet ranked in his pack. Surely the pack was small still, not for long with the many children the Hawthorne Lady and Dawnshire Prince had together recently. Her heart went out for the lass, the very reason of the war was because Beartooth had freed her assailant. It made her uneasy to know the dangerous man was still out there, confined but alive. She had thought they'd put him to death, but Hawthornes Queen . . . Why had she shown mercy?
She sighed as she tossed and turned in her den. Thing around here hadn't made sense since her parents died. She had heard well enough of her older brothers claim to Nightingale, how her hysteric sister dethroned the very woman who killed her mother and brother Typhon, and put a hit on the one who killed her father. She found it hard to sleep, the very memory of their fresh corpses still ingrained in her brain. Though with all of the thoughts of that, she wondered why she was summoned to the front lines for Dawnshire too. Did King Kratos maybe just need the support? She would apparently soon have her answer, hearing a voice come from her doorway. "Esmae?"
His gentle voice caused her to freeze. She wasn't expecting a visit. "It's Kratos. I.. I was curious if you'd like to go for a walk with me? Get out, enjoy the nice warm weather and sun?" A small smile curled on her lips as she emerged from her den. Soft blue feathers that had been pruned off of her wings and nape fell to her feet. "Hell, my King." She said with a bow of her head. Truth be told, a walk in the sun sounded lovely. She had holed herself up for the most part, not knowing much else aside from rumors around the kingdom. "I would love to go for a stroll. I do have a have something I wish to speak to you about as well since you're here - If it's not a bother." She said, giving him a gentle smile as she looked to meet his suns with her jack-o-lanterns.
If he decided to walk, she would follow beside him. She found comfort in being beside him for some reason she didn't know. Her brain still trying to wrap itself around a few things at the same time. "Well, I know I'm not yet ranked but I did accept someone at the border. Her name is Nadia, and she's carrying children. She hasn't had a very good life." She spoke calmly, occasionally glancing to Kratos. If his eyes happened to catch hers, she'd smile. But it would soon fall, her eyes more serious. "She's one of Beartooths daughters, she mentioned that her mother was a prisoner but they were all set free after the war. I don't think he will look for them, but I wanted you to be aware." She spoke softly, her eyes looking once more to him. She felt warm beside him, like she didn't want to leave.
Walk, "Talk", Think.
