The snarl coming from the wolf fish had also thrown him off. His eyes remained wide until he landed, which at this point, Derevko had turned back into a normal wolf. His ears perked and head cocked slightly at her calling him Apollo, but he continued what he was saying about her bloodline. Shortly after he finished, the lamprydae lass spoke, her voice almost monotone until the end. “They’re both new bloodlines; I seem to have lost the Reptillia scales sported by my family. It’s not too big a disappointment, particularly if wolves think I’m lunch and then realize their mistake right before I go kaput. Makes for an interesting day.” He scoffed at that taunt, smirking back. "Well at least I can get peoples’ names right even when they look totally different.” He chuckled. "Last time I checked, I had wings and didn’t have quite as colorful and vibrant of a pelt as my brothers.” He wagged his tail softly, looking at Derevko with his steely grey eyes flecked with navy, which were complimented by the white spots around his eyes that lay on a blackish-auburn colored face. His eyes then wandered down to her chest, which had that fated pink line extending from it, of which the other end was on his chest. He gestured at it with his front leg, which blended from auburn to leather hues to finally a chocolate brown paw and was brindled with white. "Well, I can safely say I did not notice this at first.” He smiled softly, looking up then to attempt to meet Derevko’s eyes, which went from a genuine, soft look to a certain glint in his eyes as he prepared another playful taunt like she had started with. "Congrats, you’ve been promoted from prey to soulmate! How do you feel about that?” He laughed again, hoping she would ease up from the joke. He did want someone to call his own, no doubt, but he was not going to rush it, especially since the fates had paired him with Derevko, one of Daneliya’s children, and based on what Aeolus had heard after their arrival here, they had gone through a lot. So, he’d take all the time she needed. He was in no rush. "But seriously though, I apologize for almost having you for lunch.” Actions &"Words"
