The skyborne male had gotten her attention and she was receptive to his reasoning for talking, given the nod of her head. Hermes’s mind was somewhat distracted by his mental checklist of mission: delta Derevko, not noticing her looking him over before she spoke. His ears perked at her words, his attention being brought back to the current moment. ”We’’ll need to hold frequent training sessions; I’m thinking at least once a week. We will also need to get to know each other better, I think.” Hermes nodded in agreement to that statement, hoping to make eye contact with the lass, but he noticed she seemed hesitant to for some reason? Regardless, she continued to speak. ”We’ll need to know what the other is capable of.” Again, Hermes followed that statement with a nod, but this time also with the words ”I agree.” Hermes sat down, gently folding his wings against his body before speaking once again. ”I agree with the frequent training sessions, but to accommodate the new fighters, we should give a little more time between sessions to start. They may become sore easier if we work them too hard and too much at the start. Perhaps we start with once a week, and slowly build up to more than once a week.” He paused, rolling his neck in an attempt to loosen it. After all, even he still had his stiff moments after his big brawl with Odin. ”I do think we should scout out heir-deltas amongst them and the young members of Sabertooth as well. Unfortunately, many of my children are being wed off in the peace treaty, or have been given non-combat roles, so that likely rules them out.” The skyborne lad attempted to meet her gaze before speaking once again. ”And as much as I’d love to spar right now to learn what you’re capable of, I still don’t feel up to par since the plague lifted. I also don’t know how contact with these-“ He motioned to his wounds that looked decayed but were, in fact, fully healed. ”might cause. They look treacherous, but they have not oozed since being cured from that illness.” The winged royal sighed at his appearance, these scars affecting his winter sunrise pelt. Thankfully, his wings appeared to have healed well, but Hermes was still dismayed about his situation. ”Well…” He spoke, pulling his mind away from the self-reflection and directing his eyes back onto Derevko. ”I know why Aeolus chose me for the role, given my combat with Odin, amongst other factors, but I’m still wondering why he paired you to work alongside me?” His tone was not condescending in any manner, but more curious. His eyes drifted from the lamprydae ethereal femme as he was pulled back into thought. Hermes knew Aeolus would put a capable wolf beside him to lead training, but were there any other deciding factors? He’s surely pull his alpha brother for a chat later. Actions and Thoughts/Others and "Speaking."
