She agreed fully with Hermes’ words, especially those of training. “Some also may not be in the best shape, since I know at least a couple of the new sigmas were afflicted with the plague.” She was especially thinking of Tyche, one of the daughters of Remus and Artemis, who barely ate anything. “We can perhaps start with bi-weekly? We can make adjustments as we need to.” The woman’s voice was stony and professional, as she was trying her best to keep it so. She didn’t feel the best about how she had treated Aeolus, and she wasn’t sure what Hermes may know about their situation. Plus, she was used to guarding her heart anyway.
Hermes’ question made Derevko’s heart skip a beat, and she shifted her weight uncomfortably. “I assume there is a combat factor in Aeolus’ decision. I was involved in this last war’s fighting.” She wasn’t sure who had seen her attack that female relative of Beartooth. She remembered she had been fairly close to being able to lift the girl up off the ground, but the heat of war had made that impossible within seconds, so Derevko, as she remembered, had been forced to leave the girl.
